Mrs Soto's Earth Science Class Blog
This blog was created with the original intent of intellectual scientific discussion between the members of a group of 7th graders taking 9th grade science in a Florida public middle school. That idea quickly fizzled out, and we kept it going throughout our eighth grade year, in which we took 10th grade biology, and through ninth grade, in which we were separated into different high schools. Now we're juniors, and still try to hang on to each other via this blog, wherever the wind blows us.

hey guys
guess it kinda blows that this died out.
okay, let's have a competition.
WEIRDEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU OVER CHRISTMAS BREAK:
my entry: my four-year-old cousin initiated a wedding, marrying me and his toy stuffed hedgehog. so i'm mrs hedgehog, i guess.
his eight-year-old sister was getting serious about the planning:
she wanted to know if i brought any white dresses in my suitcase.
ME: ah, no.
ANNE: white skirts?
ME: no.
ANNE: ANY skirts?
ME: ...a green one and a blue one.
ANNE: oh bother! well, where should we have the wedding?
ME: i dunno, anne.
ANNE: how about granny's room?
ME: um, anne, i'm not so sure about this anymore. it's kinda turning into a bigger deal than i wanted.
ALEX (the four-year-old): (with a strong yorkshire accent, and a stutter) um, emilay, you are marrying the hedgehog!
GRANNY: emily, have you got any boyfriends?
ALEX: NO, she is marrying the hedgehog! it will be her hooz-band!
ME: (sigh)
