Various Comments

I'm so bad at coming up with titles. That ^ sucks, but its the best I could come up with.

Anyways, Caitlin, you don't have to worry. You won't get spammed or anything from the contest. I didn't watch the teacher thing nor the debate, but I can agree that the politics here are pretty ridiculous. All the candidates do is point the finger at the other, without coming up with any real plans for doing anything.

I found the article interesting. Something definitely needs to be done. I wonder how they come up with some of those numbers, though. How do you measure how many resources and how much waste the entire planet can produce or discard? There's a lot of planet.

I suggest

Digging a hole in the woods to live in.

And then live in it.
And grow tomatoes or something to live off of.

I am serious, by the way.

totally agreed

I listened to most of it.
Mr Blackmon, our IB TOK and HL history teacher spoke; he was pretty decent compared to the rest of them.

And true, she didn't have a conniption, but she certainly bitched someone out at one point that I remember. Hahaha.
My English teacher said something interesting today though. There are 20,000 teachers in Miami-Dade. On any given day. 1600 call in sick. On Wednesday, (get ready), 1900 called in sick. 300 more. She was irritated because there are so many teachers who are upset about their salaries (and justifiably so), but who didn't come to protest because they're used to the system and don't feel like they can make a difference.

Well, call me a pessimist, but really, is anything actually going to come of this?
I hope so, but yesterday's vibe was not pretty.

..

well i thought this thing had died. i clicked the link on a whim today (perhaps further procrastination? who knows) either way im glad its been revived. Donna and bellybutton piercing..hmm i guess ive been away too long. donna why have u and i not talked since 8th grade? or most ppl on this blog for that matter. its kinda sad =(. i have also had a shitload of homework, today including, which i hav not rly bothered to do bc..idk, it bores me. honestly the only class i like rite now is ap bio. i hate german..(what else is new) with a new and deeper fiery passion. it keeps me from having an elective although i must admit having german first period is rather convenient (hw gets done then, plus an extra hour of sleep). math is ok, too bad i suck at it. i will never use pre calc in life but hey w/e. oh and finally, this summer, my german will be put into use, im going on a eurotrip to germany, venice and other places. supposedly thats my 16th bday present, although honestly i would have rather gone to colombia, shrug itll be fun i guess. i'm still in gymnastics so that takes up a lot of time. im there for 4 hours 3,4 and sometimes 5 times a week. as u can tell, i dont get out much. my fridays are rarely spent with friends..i should change that though. i hope i can see u guys soon. perhaps arranging a get together or something, idk. keep the blog alive =]

Various, Unrelated, and somewhat Belated Topics

First of all, Join my Least I Could Do Team!
There's really no reason not to. You could win fabulous prizes, and all you have to do is read an amzing comic strip. Come on. If you don't like clicking on the link, you can just go to http://contest.leasticoulddo.com/. Yeah, i know that's another link, but nothin's stopping you from typing it in yourself.

Second, Dr. Hood (our physics teacher), does not suck. She is awesome. I don't know why some people think she is a bad teacher, or what more they think she could do.

Third, for your information, Donna, (and everyone else's too, I guess) you were one of the hot, not so scantily clad ladies at the football game, though the rolled up shirt was nice.

Lastly, I had loads of homework this weekend, though that's mostly because of all the assignments I have backlogged. Once I get caught up everywhere, everything should stabalize (I hope). The amount of homework I get is serioudly eating up my life. That's basically all I do on any given weekend. I haven't even played a video game in months, and I have Okami and Kingdom Hearts 2 sitting in my room, not to mention Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy 7, which I really need to rent. Plus, Final Fantasy 12 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent both come out within the next two weeks!

That's all for now.

Really Good Comic

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but you guys should really check out Least I Could Do. It's a great comic. The reason I'm mentioning it right now is because they are currently holding a contest. So
Join my Least I Could Do Team!
There's really no reason not to, since both people can benefit. And like I said, its a great comic. I don't know if you'll need it, but I signed up using my gmail address, Omniharomeki@gmail.com.

aye, rubber band stunt

that thing that Gio was talking about, where you "stretch out a rubber band and write the answers on it and then let it go back to its normal size and then they're gone."

It sounds mighty difficult.

Rubber band stunt?

Whositwhatsit now?

And yes, I did have fun at homecoming. If you pass by my MySpace (same screen name Omniharomeki), you can see some pictures.

This weekend has also been great for me to catch up, though I'm still not completely caught up, even though I've been working for almost the entire weekend.
