I Got Power Back Today

And internet yesterday. Even though the hurricane didn't knock my phone out, I lost it a day later (as well as internet) and got it back yesterday. Everyone over here is fine; we just had some major tree damage. Had no power at all until Wednesday, then we got a generator, which, with this weather, the only difference between that and power was no water heater. Ice cold showers for everyone!!!!(Generals reference. WOOT!) No school till Wednesday (and maybe longer). Lots of great videogames out right now, but alas, I cannot play all of them, and must wait till next summer's "down season" for most of them. To name a few: Shadow of the Colossus, Resisdent Evil 4, and Soul Caliber 3. I also hope they don't take a week off of Winter Break, as we were planning on going to Europe. As much as I hate to say this, they'll hopefully instead get rid of Spring Break, or assorted teacher workdays. I was gonna dress up as Black Mage for Halloween, but so much for that. My brother's birthday is on the first, and we're expecting lots of great games (I get to play them too). Mine's on the 16th, but I'm getting something else (from my parents anyway). I missed Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, s-CRY-ed, and Evangelion yesterday/this morning because of lack of power/cable. That sux. They were gonna be (and probably were) AWESOME episodes. Oh well. At least they repeat s-CRY-ed. I still don't have cable, but I do have Cartoon Network (best channel of life), so no more missing shows. And there is a fantastic comic based on people from Cartoon Network and Nickolodeon (did I spell that right?) that my brother found yesterday and I haven't been able to get around to reading yet, though I did skim it some while he was reading it. It ROCKS!!!! Bleedman (the artist/writer) is bad a$$. He also has some other comics, but it's up to you to find them. Also, I beat Final Fantasy Tactics Advance's second mission sequence/story arc (after you beat it once, Judgemaster Cid approaches you with a proposition, which leads to another series of missions which you can then beat and see the second, and true, ending to the game). I now have almost 140 hours logged on that beast. Believe it!(Naruto reference! Woot! Yesterday's episode rocked.) I'm just full of allusions today.

Marcos out.(PA reference! Woot!)

lalaa

at office...
we have a week off, and watch, i'll still be doing my homework sunday night by candlelight.
hey, the better not lop a week off winter break. because i'm already missing a week as it is. and two would be disastrous. even though, of course, it's not like one (or two) person(s)'s flight plans really make a difference. because that would be ridiculous. but still. i really really hope winter break remains intact.
ANYWAY, yeah, i'm in the exact same boat as you are em. if they make the 19th midterm week, i'd be missing them for the SECOND year in a row. AHAHAHAHAA. No, they're not difficult to make up, per se, but just a pain in the ass.
i'm hungry.
hmm, i sure didn't do my star chart for more than a week. ;P I can't say if you're the only one who did, but it's a fair shot. congrats. :)
hey em, can i please borrow your shower? =)

18 of 2300????

That's like, 0.007 percent. Damn.
Aw, I'm so sorry you were ill, baby. Are you feeling better???? *sends cookies spiked with cough medicine* =)
Yeah, cell phones were down. T-Mobile was punked out from 7 a.m. Monday to today around noon.
And nowww WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FORRR.......NO SCHOOL UNTIL MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Um, WHOOT.

And homework? No way, man...
Not happening. So yeah, hoping everyone's OK. My bet is that the next person to come online is Marcos or Emily N. But I gotta go home to a casa sin elctricidad soon, so laters!

power to the pople

we stll have no electricity at home, but that's not really a problem. it's really cool. and no one has electricity either.
so how am i writing this? my mom's office has everything but air conditioning, which you'd think wouldn't be a problem, but it's really effing hot up here....i guess the sun and stuff. :( i wore bloody sweatpants because i thought it would be icy, and i'm sweating like a mofo. ick.
yesterday i spent six hours clearing treeness, tying up fallen trees (the little ones--our poor papaya and mangos...), raking leaves, taking down shutters... 3 hours at my house, and 3 at mr hudson's house. his baby is sooo gorgeous. and the big boy, ricky, is just hilarious. mr hudson loaned me about fifty zillion beatles cds, and i am a happy duck.
so although "hurricane wilma=very bad", it was kinda fun in a way. for me at least. but for those poor, poor people in the yucatan, where wilma just like, hung out for two days or so...oh man. that's terrifying shit...
um, i'm gonna guess no school tomorrow either...

The hatches are all battened and shit.
"the sea it swells like a sore head..."
bloody hell, i don't wanna lose power again...

Hurricane Wilma=Very Bad

Especially if it destroys MAST. That would be teh suxxorz to teh MAX. I'd have to go to South Miami, a mostly unappealing concept.

Also Jack Thompson has been stirring up tons of trouble, but he's been getting trouble shot right back at him, mostly, and especially, by the Penny Arcade guys. Tim Buckley also had a lot to say, and that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reference panel is one of the funniest things I have ever seen/read. He also made this comic a while back. HILARITY.

Lastly, there are way too many great videogames coming out now than I (sadly) have time to play, but hey, that's what summer is for, completing your fall/winter backlog. Also, I recently (more-or-less) got permission to play M games, so that opens up a whole new slew of games I can and want to play, first and foremost PoP:WW.

The tupidity tiene fin! No?

I finally was able to use a scanner. THE SCANNER. No just a SCANNER. So episodes 10 - 13 are up. Look NOW!

Oh no!

Ahhh, I just reread my post and I sound like a total douchebag. Donna, I promise that absolutely NOTHING in that post was meant to be rude or unpleasent to you in any way, shape or form, because you're awesome and you win a prize! I'm really really tremendously sorry I sounded like that....but for real, it was all in good faith. =] *waves white flag*

things goin on

First of all, Donna, do I really give a fuck about Marcos's shirt situation? Lmao. I mean, we DID go swimming together, at DONNA'S pool party. Marcos's torso is nothing new... yet for some reason, Donna remains fixated on it.... Conclude from that what you will. =]

Yeah, it was really small. That was sad. I really do feel very bad about it--I feel like it was my fault for not doing a better job organizing. :/ But thanks so much Marcos, for being all sweet about it. *hugs*
Donna's earphones are a piece of junk; they fall out of your ears all the time and are tre uncomfortable and I'm not the only one that thinks that either. Also, she's the one who wants to see me with no shirt and is just using Emily as a proxy.

Agreed.

Although I don't think that you should go out and say "FUCK OFF" to this kid, Erik. That would be really mean and rude, even if he does deserve it. Because as annoying as he is, he probably doesn't realize it, and that would really hurt his feelings. Making enemies like that is not a good thing...I did way too much of it in the past years, and I feel like such a shit for it I can't even begin to explain. Maybe just be all quiet when he's with you and say you'd rather be alone for a while...or maybe not, I don't know. Plus, will "fuck off" really change his ways?
Or go ahead and do it, if that's what you feel is necessary. I'm not going to be all preachery, I'm sure you get enough of that in class (poor thing!).

Oh, and I love how Erik and Marcos separate their paragraphs. =]

Boom

The stupidity is endless....

Saturday

What happened to everybody? There seemed to be a huge interest in the beginning, but then nobody showed up. Try and come next time. This thing could get off the ground a lot better if more of you took more of an interest. All of you had poor Emily saying it was her fault no one was coming because she did a bad job of organizing it, which is entirely erroneous.

Donna's earphones are a piece of junk; they fall out of your ears all the time and are tre uncomfortable and I'm not the only one that thinks that either. Also, she's the one who wants to see me with no shirt and is just using Emily as a proxy.

Erik, if you want him to fuck off so badly, tell him so. Stop dropping hints and be blunt. If that doesn't work, VIOLENCE. If you need any horrific and creative suggestions, just ask.

You call yourself a Christian, I think that you're a hypocrite, You say you are a patriot, I think that you're a crock of shit

last night was cool, but very small. we missed all of you! it was marcos, donna, allison, and me. i felt so out of place with the MASTies... but it was neat. we hung out at hot topic, and ate at johnny rockets, and saw wallace and gromit, which wins every prize in the book, kids. it's awesome. go see it. =] and allison bought a pretzel. highly monumentous. we saw damian and his people. hanging out at barnes and noble (♥) poor donna's earbuds were dissed into oblivion by marcos. and some random couple overheard our conversation and told us how to say "flirt" in spanish...or no, wait, that wasn't the word we were searching for! i forgot! someone correct me. and so yeah, i think that about covers it. =]

so..

how was it?

News and Question

I'm two days late with my Washington report. If you don't like it, tough (as if you care). I'm gonna give it as a day by day thing, or whatever it's called.
Wednesday: We got there around 12:00, left our bags at the hotel, and went to eat at Union station. Then we went to the volunteer orientation session, and afterwards spent the whole day wandering around the city.
Thursday: We spent the whole day at the convention at various sessions and had dinner in Union station. We made the mistake of eating breakfast at our hotel, which was ridiculously expensive. From then on, we ate the free breakfast at the convention.
Friday: We spent the whole day at the convention again. At night, it was raining and we couldn't go anywhere.
Saturday: After the convention ended, we went to the Solar Decathlon in the rain, which turned out to be a bad idea, as all of us got pretty wet and it was really cold. We had to hide out in the Museum of American History. At night we went out o the town and ate at Ruby Teusday's, followed dessert at Haagen Daz.
Sunday: We went to the Solar Decathlon again (this time it wasnt raining, tough it was cold) and to the Museum of Natural History. Then we left.
We also visited the FIU house one of the nights, either Wednesday or Thursday, I'm not sure which. The Decathlon was really fascinating stuff.

I had a bad, upsetting experience today, but otherwise today was ok. That's all you're getting out of me.

Lastly, what's the time frame for the blog meeting this Saturday?

Serenity

I just saw it yesterday. It is awesome. It is superb. In fact, there are not enough words in the English language to describe how good this movie is. So I made one up, omnifantificent, and it's still not enough. It has everything you could ever want in any movie. GO SEE IT!!!!
